Last weekend was very busy and fun in New York city. The Big Apple is now hosting one of the biggest events in film industry- Tribeca Film Festival. It was initially launched in 2002 by Jane Rosenthal and Robert De Niro. The Tribeca Film Festival was founded to celebrate New York City as a major film making center and to contribute to the long-term recovery of lower Manhattan. 2011 marks the tenth year of the Tribeca Film Festival, which has grown each year. Celebrities like David Duchovny, Benicio Del Toro, Jeremy Piven, Kate Walsh, Mira Sorvino, Orlando Bloom and his dazzling wife Miranda Kerr were seen on Saturday at the festival. Kevin Spacey and Robert De Niro were also seen at the premiere of their new film Shakespeare High. This feature-length documentary is about a determined group of teens whose immersion in the Drama Teachers Association of Southern California’s high school drama program compels them to overcome their difficulties and create better lives for themselves.
