Betty Foy is a character of the William Wordsworth’s poem “The Idiot Boy”. She is also one of the figures in the volume who best exemplifies the romantic qualities of Wordsworth’s first mature lyrics.

Rivendell Bicycle Works has a bicycle model Betty Foy named for the mother in the poem. The bicycle has a headbadge that features Betty Foy’s portrait. ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betty_Foy)

Last Sunday was a perfect day for a bike stroll around the city. And Betty, the egg-blue city bike was my pleasant companion. I had a feeling that it was the last warm Sunday of November. That is exactly why I had to take her out before she would be stored in the cold basement.

Betty is the cool and charming bicycle. She has it all – the looks, the style and the comfort.

This time instead of trying to look for accessories that will go with my outfit I decided to accessorize Betty with myself and my raspberry pink outfit. I had to find something fruity and trendy to match the tiny red apples along the downtube decal, so I paired my recently purchased maroon Zara cable stitched sweater with raspberry pink Paige corduroy skinnies.

Some may find it surprisingly uncomfortable to ride a bike with these gigantic platforms, but believe me, these Cheap Monday suede wedges are made not only for running around the city, but even for riding bikes!
