Once again, it is coming back to us and it will stay for a while…

Military trend was spotted during fashion week in NY, London and Milan. Several designers presented their ready-to-wear F/W 2012 collections where they have accentuated on a military-inspired details.

Victoria Beckham presented her F/W’12 collection in NY in which she actually managed to merge together three of the most popular trends:

Military: Olive Green Hue, Brass Buttons, Leather Belts, Epaulettes, Zippers, Heavy-Strapped High Heel Shoe-Boots.

Color-Blocking: Bold Stripes, Khaki and Black, Brown and Black, Black and Blue, Red and Black, Grey and Black.

Sporty: Polo Collars, V-Neck Styles, Frocks inspired by Baseball Outfits, Baseball-inspired Woolen Socks.

As always, the models on the runway demonstrated Victoria Beckham’s elegant and sophisticated signature style. She highlighted the lean feminine silhouette with dense rib jerseys that created “suck it all in” look.

Max Mara F/W’12 collection was also inspired by the late 40’s. The models were wearing military coats, front slit pencil skirts, army caps, tailored shorts and sailor-striped jumpsuits. And this time Max Mara had reinvented their signature camel coat by adding a “military-inspired” twist.

The color palette was Khaki-Green, Olive, Pearl-White, Black, Camel and Dark-Brown.

The Italian brand Salvatore Ferragamo also showcased their love for a military trend while presenting the F/W’12 collection few days ago in Milan.

The models were wearing navy and black military coats with brass buttons that were paired with delicate silk gowns.
The creative director of Salvatore Ferragamo – Massimiliano Giornetti accentuated on a classic combination of the feminine fragility and forceful masculine power.
