I am continuing to post my latest extraordinary encounters from the City of Lights. This time I was very lucky not only to experience the most famous cabaret in world – Moulin Rouge and its resident stage show Féerie, but also to meet and to chat with one of the beautiful dancers!

Moulin Rouge is the worldwide famous cabaret thanks to its French Cancan, it was immortalized by the painter Toulouse-Lautrec and it is home the most sumptuous shows such as the Quadrille of La Goulue, Valentin-le-Désossé, Redoutes, Operettas, Colette and Mistinguett.

This cabaret is famous for its fabulous settings, original music and lots of feathers, rhinestones and sequins. (The eccentric elemens that keep coming back to us every season of the year to create stand-out pieces and artfully beautiful accessories.)

Moulin Rouge had influenced some of the high-fashion designers like Balenciaga and YSL, it also had its impact on high street styles many of which were featured in TopShop collections. Think bustiers and tulle skirts, corsets and Swarovski crystal-studded shoes and accessories. Viva la Glam!

Many international stars like Ella Fitzgerald, Liza Minelli, Frank Sinatra, Elton John have performed on stage at the Moulin Rouge. They all given exeptional galas, following in the footsteps of French celebrities such as Maurice Chevalier, Jean Gabin, Edith Piaf and Yves Montand.

M.K: How long have you been working at Moulin Rouge?

- It’s been 5 exciting years, I always get a new feeling every time I am here.

M.K: My overall experience at MR was fantastic. Moulin Rouge is a high-energy place with positive and festive vibe. You performed a very jaw-dropping show in the giant aquarium, while swimming with enormous pythons…What do you feel before the show?

- I still remember the first time I saw them swimming in the aquarium, it was a very strange feeling, but I was very eager to try it.

M.K: What do you feel every time after the show ends?

-I am glad how it went, and I am anticipating for the next one. I feel a great responsibility of being here and performing in front of many people. Moulin Rouge is one of the most famous cabaret in the world, we have to make sure that people have the time of their life when they come here. I wish for everyone to experience the unforgettable atmosphere of the Moulin Rouge. You will remember it for a very long time!
