Spring is a bit cold in Paris these days, but even if it rained all day yesterday, I was so happy to be back in the City of Light.

I am on my way to the 66th Cannes Festival which took place on Wednesday, May 15th. You can follow me on Twitter & Instagram: @Miukoridi for some “live” photo updates from the festival, hopefully the weather is better in Cannes…

In the mean time, I am posting today’s look. Shorts are not the best option to wear on a chilly day, but I refuse to wear pants in Paris ;)

The Great Gatsby was adapted from the novel written by American author Francis Scott Key Fitzgerald. The story takes place during the most prosperous time in the United States, soon after the World War I. The era of the jazz evolution, flapper culture and the beginning of the Art Deco generation.

It is the romantic tale that depicts the glamorous and tragic figure of Jay Gatsby (Leonardo DiCaprio), as narrated by his friend Nick Carraway (Tobey Maguire) who witness the love affair of Jay and his married relative Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan), the one who once rejected Gatsby in the past…

How can we resist them?

If one day (God forbid) I would have to choose between the jewelry and a clutch bag, I would pick the latter.  The louder your clutch looks, the more attention it brings to your outfit, (skyscraper heels will do as well, but this post isn’t about the shoes ).

I am particularly interested in book cover clutches, not only because I like books, but I think that these type of clutches are so appealing, original and they became a trend after Olympia Le-Tan have invented them!

My favorite is The Great Gatsby the “Book of the Month” clutch. (I will discuss this book in my next post)

It started when I was desperately looking for the aqua blue nail polish from Essie’s resort collection. Apparently, “In the Cab-ana” is the most popular shade of the collection and it’s almost sold out everywhere.

It’s such a beautiful shade of blue and it looks so delicious with the tan! Love :)

I’m also obsessed with printed clutches, like the one from Rebecca Minkoff the vivid tropical image makes me think of the dream summer vacation!
